What meat types are included in your meat packs?

Our Trust the Butcher Meat Boxes include either grass-fed NZ beef, or a mix of grass-fed NZ beef and lamb.

We also give you the option to pick your own meat and build your own box with a variety of beef, veal, goat, lamb, venison, and/or pork cuts based on your own preferences.

We can supply goat directly to you in whatever cuts / products that you require. Please contact us to arrange at order@meattoyou.co.nz.

Can I customise the contents of my meat pack based on my preferences?

Our Trust the Butcher meat boxes are curated daily by our skilled butchers here at our micro‑abattoir. Because we work in small batches and include the cuts that are freshly available, the exact cuts can change day by day. For this reason, we aren’t able to customise the contents of these curated boxes at this stage.

If you’d like full control over what goes into your order, you’re welcome to use our Build Your Own Box option, where you can select each specific cut based on you and your families preferences.

What do I do if there is a problem with my delivery?

If you have any issues with a delivery, either missing, compromised or its not the right box, please get in touch with us directly on 027 244 2404 or email us at order@meattoyou.co.nz. Please include your name and phone number and we will be in touch with you as soon as possible.

I have a subscription, but I want to pause or cancel it.

We send out our boxes weekly, fortnightly or monthly. The cut off for pausing or cancelation is the Sunday before the delivery week. If you were to cancel your subscription on a Monday of your delivery week, then you can expect a delivery that week, but none the following. To pause or cancel your subscription, simply login, and go to your customer portal in the menu. In the portal click the “subscriptions” tab and either pause or cancel your subscription.

I paused my subscription and want to pick it up again.

To continue a subscription, simply go back to the subscriptions tab in your customer portal and click “Continue” next to the subscription you wish to continue. If you cancelled your subscription and want to pick it up again, you will need to make a new order through the website.

I have a subscription and want to make changes to it.

We can’t make edits to an existing subscription. You will need to cancel the subscription you currently have by logging in, and go to your customer portal in the menu. In the portal click the “subscriptions” tab and either pause or cancel your subscription. You will then need to make a new order.

Where does your meat come from?

Taranaki Prime beef comes either directly from our own farms in Taranaki, where we farm and breed Simmental Cattle (Clearview Simmental) and Dexter Cattle (Petit Meat), or reputable, ethical farmers from Taranaki that we partner with.

We also source our lamb, rose veal, mutton, pork and venison directly from other like-minded Taranaki farmers. 

Our mission is to provide meat to consumers that is not only premium and delicious, but comes from animals that have experienced reduced stress, there are low food miles travelling from Taranaki farms to our Taranaki micro-abbatoir, and you know exactly where each animal has come from.

Each packaged product contains a QR code which lets you meet the farmers who raised and produced your food.

How do I place an order and what are the available delivery options?

To place an order, visit our ‘Shop now’ page to see the boxes we have available. Once you find the box you’re interested in ordering, simply make your way through the checkout process. You can make a one off order, or a subscription order with boxes coming weekly or monthly.

How long after purchase can we expect delivery?

We aim to get your order to you as fast as we possibly can - usually within 2-5 business days. However because we're a small NZ business and a micro-abbatoir, and we want to ensure your meat arrives fresh to your front door, we produce-to-order, so some cuts my take a little longer to arrive.

If you require your order by a specific date, please let us know and we will do what we can to make that happen.
